Fertility after Desmond cyst removal?

I am a 23 year old female with a 6 cm dermoid cyst removed from my right ovary in August 2019. A more recent scan revealed that my left ovary is normal size (12 cc) and right ovary which was previously affects by the sermons cyst now measures 1 cc, I still have regular menstrual cycles and no other reproductive abnormalities. Will I still be able to conceive with only one normal-sized ovary? and will ovulation still occur in my right ovary? I don’t see why they needed to take so much of my ovary, they did not tell me this. Did they make a mistake?

Complaint duration: 2 years

Oh yes, fertility and conception is possible with just one ovary. All you need is one ovary and one Fallopian tube to have a baby. God gave us a redundant system. That left ovary is more than capable of getting you the baby you desire. The fact that you’re having regular menstrual cycles is also reassuring.
Best of luck to you.
Yes, as long as the fallopian tube on the unaffected side is normal!

No mistake was made and the fact you have regular periods is a good omen. Basically even with just a single ovary this should not limit your fertility.
That will not affect your fertility at all. You will still be able to conceive. I cannot speak the the right ovary and the amount removed. That judgement is made at the time of surgery. A dermoid cyst can take up the whole ovary sometimes. If there is any residual ovary, you could ovulate from that side
