“GABA supplements?”
I used Topamax for headaches but got severe withdrawals where my nerves were burning in my head and in pain. The doctor put me on Lyrica and sometimes gabapentin but the weight gain is too much. I’ve read online that many people get weight gain from Lyrica/Gabapentin but I’m seeing google says GABA supplements promote weight loss. Is this true? Why does the GABA supplement promote weight loss but Gabapentin and Pregabalin make you have weight gain? This is my question, does the actual GABA supplement make you gain weight like Gabapentin and Pregabalin?

Multiple points here to go over, in short the mechanism is different, those medications works on different neurotransmitters. GABA supplement works on calming the nervous system, when you are calm and activating the parasympathetic nervous system, you counteract the weight gain. If our body is in the state of stress we will gain weight by default.
