General Practitioner Questions Headaches

Headache, neck pain, muscle twitches

Im 32 year old female, I been having a headache pretty much everyday for about 2 months. It started like a normal headache but it really never went away. Then I started developing neck pain. I went to my primary care doctor which recommended to do an X-ray of neck. Results came back normal. He recommended PT which I’ve been doing for about 2 weeks now. I also took my results to the chiropractor. He saw the results and told me that what he thinks is causing my headaches is “straightening of the cervical lordosis” long story short, about 2 weeks ago I started to notice that my right eye started to flutter, and I also started to feel weird twitches all over my body, especially in the legs. Which have me very concern. I went online and saw that those muscle twitches can be cause by stress or anxiety, which I’ve been feeling quite a lot since having headaches. I would like to know if all those symptoms could be related to my neck pain, which it seems is causing my headaches.

Hi, headaches could be from different causes, most of them benign depending in which part of the head hurts we can make a differential diagnosis, back, posterior part tends to be stress or tension headache, sides tends to be migraines and front can be sinus congestion. neck pain could be related to neck spasms. twitches all over the body may not be related to the headaches considering the sudden appearance of symptoms. Tx should be oriented to the root of the cause and can be directed at different options, a skull x-ray could be done that could rule out other causes, medication for muscle spasms of neck, Psychology to talk about stressful situations and EMG study to lower limbs for the twitching and an eye examination for the eye fluttering, although it can be perceived as stress and anxiety, ruling out other causes can alleviate some of this concerns
Continue physical therapy with also muscle strengthening exercise as could be facet joint related if persist may need CT SCAN BRAIN IN CASe
Good morning, my opinion, the information no mentions any medication or medical history of any medical other diagnosis. My recommendation is discontinued the PT and any Chiropractic, need evaluation by ophthalmologist ( flutter) and Neurologist ( neck pain, headache and lower conditions.
You probably have a very stressed neck with a series of myoses in your scalnus muscles. I am sorry that I am not in your geographical vicinity. I could examine you and give you a clear view of what could be the beginning of your road to pain freedom.
