Cardiologist Questions

Heart issue or Lung Issue?

Hello, I am a 21 year old male (bw-165 / 5'8)
Over the past couple months I have been experiencing shortness of breath and coughing up phlegm. My heart also feels like it will beat out of my chest and feels almost painful at times from being sedentary to moving fast. I am fairly active and do cardio daily and my RHR is 70 bpm, which doesn't fluctuate to much. Although doing strenuous activity causes dizziness, and my heart to feel like it will beat out of my chest, however my HR is not elevated to high. Day to Day without exercise I feel lightheaded and dizzy but not anything terrible. I smoke weed daily for about almost 2 years now. I drank a little heavily for a year and drink caffiene daily as well. I was hoping if you could give some of your insight into what is happening, and whether it could be my lungs, heart, both or anxiety. I have asthma as well as some pretty serious anxiety as well.

You need to have further evaluation by cardiologist and pulmonologist
guess. You need an evaluation by a doctor you trust and it should look at both potential causes. You have a new patient question! All you have to do is reply to this email
