I have genital herpes and am taking valacyclovir daily to suppress symptoms. I ran out of pills about a week ago and have been waiting for a refill, but in the meantime have developed a sore on my left arm. Is it possible to have an outbreak there?

Yes, it is possible. You need to be seen by a primary care physician, The ED or your own GP.

It is possible if that part of your arm made contact with an active lesion.
To be certain if the lesion is still present have it swabbed and tested.
