You brush them as your natural teeth. Are the teeth connected with the implants, or you take them out. If they only assist the teeth and are overdenture, or removable, please use a denture brush and soap, NO TOOTHPASTE.
Brush just like you normally do. That is the beauty of implants, they are maintained by brushing and flossing like normal teeth.
Use a soft toothbrush to clean around the implant and surrounding dentition. A Water Pik with a small amount of Peridex is very helpful in removing accumulated debris, at least once daily. The use of an interproximal brush is imperative along with regular check ups and cleanings, alternating with a periodontist.
If you recently had implant surgery and have healing caps covering the new implants, careful brushing arojnf the caps requires a gentle, soft toothbrush. Fully restored dental implants are treated as real teeth for cleaning. Dr. Conrad
Brushing your teeth is recommended after dental implant placement. The cleaner we can keep your mouth and the surgical site itself, the lower the risk of infection. Brushing the surgical site itself should be done VERY GENTLY, allowing the antibiotic mouth rinse to do most of the cleaning in that area. The rest of the teeth should be kept as clean as possible.
