Hi! The most common causes of heel pain are improper shoe gear, lack of stretching and lack of support. I would recommend wearing running sneakers, consider an over the counter insert and look up stretching exercises for your foot and calf.
Depends on the cause of the pain. If there’s a heel spur present or not. I recommend a exam and X-rays.
