How can I reduce the swelling in my knee?

I am a 17 year old female. I want to know how can I reduce the swelling in my knee after a bike accident.

Rest, ice, compression, elevation, X-ray to make sure there is no fracture.
Swelling in the knee usually means there is some type of underlying injury. If the swelling persists, then oftentimes an evaluation is important to rule out any large injuries and prevent further damage.
The first determination is what the problem is that is creating the swelling. If you do not know what that is, then you need to be evaluated and an X-ray taken and have basic treatment started.
ICE IT DAILY...TAKE NSAID..REST
Trauma caused by bike accident she needs X-ray or MRI to see any fracture or to see meniscal or AC L damage.
