“How do blood thinners work?”
My husband has been prescribed blood thinners. How do these work? Are there any risks we should be considering?

That’s a difficult question to answer since I do not know what type of blood thinner your husband was prescribed. However, all blood thinners have boundaries of what you should do or not do, foods you should eat or not eat depending on the type and also various precautions such as not using power tools and not getting on a ladder more than 3 feet off the ground to avoid any potential falls and protection of the head or hitting the head during a fall - all are part of the precautions you should be observing.
The risks are bleeding that is not expected caused too much anticoagulant.
