You need to avoid intercourse, douching, using any vaginal medicine or spermicidal foams, creams, or jellies for at least two days before having the procedure. This exam is to detect cervical cancer and changes in the cervical cells.
Not much. Should bathe or shower at least the night before. No need for douches or special cleansers.
