How do you sleep with a hiatal hernia?

If you have reflux or regurgitation at night, propping yourself up with pillows may help with those symptoms. Laying flat at night may make those worse. If your symptoms are worse at night, you should avoid eating less than 2 hours before you go to sleep. Ultimately, if you have a hiatal hernia and symptoms related to it, you should seek surgical evaluation for repair.
It depends if you have a pannus from Obesity. Please discuss this with your Surgeon. It depends where the hernia is located intra-abdominally.
