Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) is a protein in the surface of the hepatitis B virus. This HBsAg can be detected in high level in patients who are infected with the virus. Now what you are showing in the question is Hepatitis B surface antibody (HBsAb). If this test is positive or reactive then, your immune system has successfully developed a protective antibody against the Hepatitis B virus. This will provide protection against future hepatitis virus infections. Someone who is Hepatitis B virus Surface antigen positive (HBsAg), is not infected and cannot pass the virus to others. The other tests are negatives. Thank you.
The Hep B Surface Ag is a sign of current infection. The Hep B Surface Ab is a sign of a previous infection with antibodies against the virus.
