Usually 5 to 7 days on familiar roads
You should be able to drive within one week, but each individual heals differently. Best Regards, Kenmore Optical 1018 Beacon Street Suite 100 Brookline, MA 02446 www.kenmoreoptical.com (617) 505-6419

Each person is different once you heal from the cornea treatment and see well enough 20/40 or better you can drive That would likely be about 5 days after surgery Sent from the all new AOL app for iOS
That varies patient to patient based on healing. It is generally not recommended to drive until the epithelium is healed and the bandage contact lenses removed. That's usually five days after the procedure. Sometimes people have delayed healing, and it can take several days longer. Additionally, some people have a condition known as epithelial hyperplasia. When the epithelium heals, it heals with an excessive amount of cells and these can "stack up" on the surface of the cornea and create surface irregularity, which may decrease the quality of the visual image. Usually, with lubrication and topical medication this resolves quickly. Often, patients require more lubrication at night when they're going to bed, and when they wake up in the morning to lessen or prevent this epithelial hyperplasia. Steven Vale, M. D.
