For appendix surgery your stay will depend on your age and toleration of surgery, presence or absence of additional infection or complications.
Some patients have been discharged after 12 hours or overnight with routine and no complications. Some stay for a night or two. Best bet is to talk with your doctor and see what timeframe they are expecting.

If your appendix has not ruptured or burst, many patients can go home the same day as surgery. If not, most patients spend 1 night.
