I stopped using opioids last Monday after being addicted for 2 years. How long do the effects of opioids stay in your system?

Chronic opioid use can lead to hormonal dysfunction and neurologic changes. Each person varies. Some have life long changes from chronic opioid use.
I am not sure what you mean by the effects of opioids staying in your system. I would strongly recommend considering medication management to help prevent withdrawals and cravings and help increase your chance of sobriety, as well as individual and group therapy.
