Without knowing the type of jaw surgery to which you refer, it is hard to answer with any degree of certainty. Mouthwash containing alcohol and drinking alcohol should be avoided for 36-48 hours after any extraction or surgical procedure where the gums are cut. Waiting up to 72 hours decreases the chance of the desired clot dissolving prematurely and will help prevent a "dry socket". Asking the surgeon performing the procedure will give you the most accurate response.
Specifics are key here, wisdom teeth?, gum tissue surgery?, jaw repositioning surgery? - best is to follow your Dr.’s specific instructions

It is recommended to be careful with eating and drinking for 3 days after surgical procedure.

If it is a simple extraction, one week will be good enough (if not get drunk). If wisdom teeth extraction, better to wait 4 weeks. If jaw surgery, pray your jaw surgery is successful first.
At a minimum you should wait 72 hours before consuming alcohol. Depending on the exact type and extent of surgery, your dentist or oral surgeon my recommend and extended waiting period.
