The prostate biopsy procedure lasts 30-45 minutes. The prostate biopsies results can take from several days to 2 – 3 weeks. It all depends on the pathology findings and what additional stains and tests needs to be performed for the final diagnosis. Pain in the area between the anus and the scrotum is common from few days to several weeks. Also, blood in the urine can be found for a few days to few weeks.
