I am a 38 year old male. I want to know how long does acupressure take to work?

Very Vague question. Depends on what you are going for. Orthopedic issues, usually immediately and or up to 8 treatments. Internal medicine, feel a difference in 24 hours. You need to continue with acupuncture to help rectify, or relieve the issues. Then a maintenance plan should be in place
Yes it works right away through the sessions and it depends how good the dexterity of the provider is?
If the patient has an acute condition, it usually takes a short time to treat the issue. If the patient has a chronic condition, it might take months before seeing any positive results.

Good afternoon,
Acupressure does work for a lot of problems. Depends on the problem, some take longer and some take shorter.

I don't really have a satisfying answer for that question because acupuncture can work immediately, or it can take a while. How long it takes depends on how long you have had the condition, how bad the condition is, and how strong your constitution is. Rule of thumb is: the longer you have had something the longer it takes to restore balance and relieve suffering.

Usually works very fast; for acute condition, you can sse improvement after 2-3 sessions, chronic conditions may take a little longer.
Good Morning,
In terms of acupuncture or acupressure, we are moving the body’s energy. It varies from person to person on how this energy moves, so it is hard to put a timeline on it. Factors that contribute to how the energy moves is your overall health, and constitution, nutrition, habits, how long you have had the condition that you are looking to shift, and the frequency of the treatments.

This is a million dollar question. Each person has a different level of disease, and so it may be different response to the treatment. However, within 5-10 sessions you can have a clear understanding if the acupressure works for you. it may take longer to clear the disease but you may see some changes soon after the first few sessions. And have to repeat, part of the answer is in relation to how grave is the patient's condition.

That’s a great and very common question ! Everyone responds to acupuncture differently. It really depends on the problem at hand and how chronic /acute it is. Typically I suggest 4-8 treatments for acute problems and 12-16 for chronic problems. If the issue is a chronic health condition (stroke, any type of paralysis, or nerve pain) then acupuncture might be needed as a monthly or bi monthly maintenance.

Ok... let's first assume you have a fully trained acupressure practitioner who is capable of accurately diagnosing you.... because that is the first necessary step. Second, I'm assuming you have someone fully trained in point prescriptions to accurately develop a treatment plan to balance your energy. Finally, if all those conditions are met, then the response depends on how strong your Body-Mind-Spirit system is. Is this a chronic disease/set of symptoms that we are discussing? Generally, the longer you have been out of balance, there longer it will take to get a positive response.
Second, and again depending on all the conditions previously explained being met by the practitioner's skill levels, how strong is the patient's constitution? Were they sick as a child? Did they have developmental issues growing as a child? Was their mother sick during gestation/pregnancy? How old is the patient (our energy tends to get weaker as we age)?
Acupressure doesn't add energy to the system... it moves energy... and in moving energy, movement takes energy so in effect it is just slightly draining on the energy. If that movement is applied with precision to put the system in greater balance, then the system is able to generate new energy better and it has a healing effect. If not, it may still possibly relieve some symptom(s) yet have a net effect of weakening the system.
Hope that was helpful.

Generally, it will take 2-6 sessions to see improvement, but it really depends the situation (how severe the problem is or how long you have had the problem).
Sometimes one set of acupressure can get rid of the problem, sometimes might need serval sets, it depends on your condition and your physical fitness.
That depends on how long you've had the condition, and who is applying the acupressure. If you are applying the acupressure to yourself, where you found the points can also affect your success. Many of the points found online can be effective but there are others that may be more so. To learn which points are best for you, I recommend you see an acupuncturist for guidance.
If you are already seeing an acupuncturist, I recommend giving it 5-8 treatments. If you're not feeling any changes throughout your body, try another practitioner or a different style of acupuncture.

Unfortunately there are far too many things affecting us, like age or how long you've had the issue, to be able to answer that question. Generally I need to see people twice a week for a month or two, and then once a week, then once a month until the symptoms no longer arise between treatments. But as I said, everyone's situation is unique, and every practitioner different.
How long acupuncture/acupressure might take to work is dependent on a lot of factors, not the least of which is the skill of the person applying acupuncture/acupressure for your issue.
I don't use a lot of acupressure for the simple fact that, in my experience, it's not nearly as good as acupuncture at getting results quickly or getting results that persist for more than a few hours. People 18 or under can sometimes be a different story, but they tend to respond to acupuncture much more quickly too.
My general rule of thumb for acupuncture patients is to give me at least 3 treatments before they decide acupuncture is/is not working for them. Depending on the specific case and any complications, that can sometimes be more like 5 treatments. For acupressure, a person could be looking at double or more - I don't know because I've never used acupressure alone to resolve someone's health issue.
