The local anesthesia usually lasts for a few hours.
It varies from patient to patient and the type of anesthetic used. The average is about 2 1/2 hours. If anesthetic with epinephrine was used, such as marcaine, it could last up to six hours depending how much was used.
Usually 1 to 2 hrs. It depends on the amount of anesthesia given. Some people metabolize the anesthesia very fast and can feel during the dental procedure, some stay numb for hours.
So, it totally depends on their metabolism.
There are a lot of variables with this, depending on which anesthetic was used, how much of it, where it was applied, and also other things like how quickly your body metabolizes the anesthetic! But typically, most anesthetic will wear off in about 2 hours. On some people, it lasts a lot longer, so it is not concerning if it lasts more like 6 hours!
It can last from 1 hour to 6 hours or even longer depending on the location and type of anesthesia used.

It depends on the anesthetic type, location of injection, and the amount administered. Typically, 1-2 hours, occasionally up to 4 hours with longer acting anesthetics.
