If you had neck surgery three days ago, the swelling of the neck could receded within the next 7 to 10 days and then you might have some minimal swelling subsequent to that depending on the extent of the operation and whether adipose tissue grass were used or not. Sometimes swelling can last for more than two weeks.
It can be upwards to 6-8 weeks...always need to consult with a facial plastic surgeon; if need to be seen as not all swelling is postop edema, sometimes it is hematoma that needs to be surgically evacuated or drained.
We find virtually no swelling after neck / facelift. There is some bruising but most of the surgical appearance dissipates after approximately one week.
It varies from one person to another. Typically, people see significant improvement at 3 to 4 weeks. By 3 months, probably 85% or more of the swelling is gone. It can take up to a year to see the true final result. From a practical standpoint though, most people with some make-up start to look good at 3 to 4 weeks barring delays in the healing process.
Hello, Swelling can take up to a few weeks before it starts to go down.
This is a tough question to answer because it can vary between patients. Sometimes swelling can continue to increase even 3-5 days after surgery, and it is variable for how long it persists. If you notice a rapidly expanding fluid collection, or your swelling is failing to improve, then I would reach out to your surgeon and notify them of this issue. Sometimes medication can be prescribed that can help with swelling.
