How long does it take to fill a deep cavity?

I have a deep cavity and want to get a filling. How long does it take to fill a deep cavity?

It depends on many factors such as size, location of the tooth in the oral cavity, proximity to the pulp (nerve), etc. It may take up to an hour or more to do it.
Depends on the dentist. In dental school, 3 hours, in regular practice 15 to 45 minutes.
Fillings typically take 30 minutes to an hour depending on where in the mouth (some areas take longer to numb) and how many surfaces of the tooth are involved.
Fillling a cavity should not take long but an X-ray needs to be taken to see the extent of the decay/cavity.U should make an appointment with a dentist thanks
"Deep cavity" can be taken care of quickly or it may take a long time (usually no longer than an hour appointment). It really depends on the proximity to the nerve chamber.

If the cavity is close to the nerve, the dentist will take care/time with the removal of the affected tooth areas to help prevent entering the chamber. Ultimately, the tooth decay and previous affects of the cavity is going to determine the time of the appointment.
