About 2-6 months.
Insurance companies have various requirements before approving payment for sleeve gastrectomy. Each policy is different and can take 1 month to 6 months. If the patient is investing in himself or herself and paying cash for the procedure and avoiding often unnecessary insurance requirements, the sleeve gastrectomy can be scheduled 1-2 weeks after the first visit with the surgeon if the patient is otherwise healthy and has a low risk for anesthesia.
Each insurance company has it's own requirements. Some require 3 or 6 months of various items such as cardiology, pulmonology, psychiatry and nutritionist consultation. Granted, there are places who do self-pay surgery that do not require any wait time.
Depends on your insurance company. Usually at least 6 weeks and sometimes as long as 12 months.
That depends on the details of your particular insurance plan. I would not know what your plan requires for approval.
