At least 4-6 weeks and maybe up to 3 months to feel normal. Most people are about 80% recovered by 2 weeks though.
This is all dependent on what type of colon surgery you have. Most colon surgeries are completed laparoscopically patient recovery is much faster. Some of my patients have gone home as early as a day or two. Full recovery with regards to being pain-free usually takes about 4 weeks with reasonably good bowel function.
Most people undergoing straight forward minimally invasive (laparoscopic/robotic) partial colon surgery are ready to discharge within 1-3 days.
Depends on the type of surgery and how healthy you are. I also don't know what you mean by "get well". This is best discussed with a surgeon.
