Depends on type of arthritis. Is it a focal defect or diffuse?Large or small bone spurs?Heavy people vs. thin.In general arthroscopic surgery is helpful.Rehab time depends on the above.Average rehab crutches for one to two weeks, walking boot for 4 weeks, full benefit of surgery 3 to 4 months
It depends really by what type of surgery. While recovery after cheilectomy may be as fast as 3-4 weeks, full recovery after total ankle replacement may take up to 3 months or more.
The recovery really depends on the type of surgery for ankle arthritis. The surgical treatment options are a fusion, which is often done arthroscopically, or an ankle replacement. The recovery is different for both of these surgeries, but is on average about 5-6 months.
Depends on the surgery. Ankle scope—about 6 weeks. Ankle replacement —6 months
