How long does it take to straighten your arm after a broken elbow?

I broke my elbow 2 week ago. I want to know how long does it take to straighten your arm after a broken elbow?

It depends on the break and how hard you work to push the other pain to get the motion back. I have had patients with horrible injuries get all their motion back and some with minimal injthat lost motion permanently. It’s all about motivation as well as anatomy
I’m sorry to hear of your injury! A fractured elbow may take 6-8 weeks to fully heal or longer depending on the type of injury and extent of the fracture. Additional time will likely be required for full function of the joint. I recommend contacting your orthopedic or see an orthopedic specialist for follow up to make certain the healing process is correct and complete.

There are several bones in your elbow. Each has its own degree of time to recover. That said, elbows do not like to be injured and can take away some time to achieve full straightening or extension. Flexion or bending tends to be somewhat less of a problem. A good physical therapist can be very helpful. Naturally, you need to discuss your condition with your orthopedic surgeon.
Up to 6-12 months.
