How long does it take to walk normally after a hip replacement?

I had a hip replacement surgery 1 week ago. I want to know how long does it take to walk normally after a hip replacement?

Typically, it takes about 6 to 12 weeks to regain normal walking ability after a hip replacement surgery. However, please consult with your surgeon or physical therapist for a more accurate estimate based on your specific condition and progress. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

It will depend on what your prior surgery function is and any comorbidity. Everyone is different. Average is 6 weeks.
