I had a gastric bypass surgery last week. I didn't recover fully yet. How long does it take your stomach to heal after gastric bypass?

It can take up to 6 months.
The stomach is sealed water-tight at the time of surgery. Leaks typically occur in the first two weeks, and the likelihood of non-healing is much lower as time goes on. Overall recovery from surgery can take 4-6 weeks before you starting feeling better than you did prior, and weight loss can go on for 12-18 months.
