How long does nerve pain last after a stroke?

I had a stroke 3 months ago and still have nerve pain. Is it normal?

Chronic pain after stroke may last longer than an acute causes of pain. Usually, chronic pain last three months or longer. It can continue even after your stroke affected area have healed completely. The nerve can heal in the first weeks or months after strokes. About 20% of patients who have stroke may develop central post-stroke pain (CPSP). This ia a problem that occurs in the structure of the brain which interpret pain is affected. Thank you.
