How long does the pain last after Lasik?

After Lasik surgery, I have had eye pain for 6 days. Is it normal?

Usually, patients experience pain and discomfort on the first day and then they might have only discomfort for a few more days. However, if you have done PRK, you will have pain and discomfort for a longer period of time.
You should follow-up with the doctor who performed the lasik procedure, right away.
Post-operative discomfort is quite common (e.g. irritation, foreign-body sensation, burning, itching, etc.), but usually not past a day or two. True neuropathic pain, which is an aching, throbbing pain can result from some corneal nerve damage that can take several weeks to heal but is far less common.
Ask your LASIK surgeon who is familiar with your examination.
