Back alignment is performed by chiropractors by doing an adjustment. Adjustments help enhance mobility and nervous system function. An adjustment can last on average 3-10 minutes depending on the technique. In my office, we have 10 minute appointments to work through the body from head to toe.
It depends on the techniques that are used. I incorporate muscle work with the alignment. If necessary, I will also provide stretches and exercises that help maintain the alignment. Treatment in my office can take up to 10-15 minutes.
