Viral conjunctivitis is not responsive to most drops. It can go on for 2-3 weeks. Bacterial conjunctivitis does respond to antibiotic drops within just a few days. Usually "pink eye" becomes less contagious a day or two after the redness resolves.
Bacterial pink eye is highly contagious and is typically treated with antibiotic eye drops. It can spread to others as soon as symptoms appear, and it remains contagious for as long as symptoms remain, or for about 24
The question is what type of pink eye did you have and what drops are you taking?
