I had gallbladder removal 5 days ago. My stomach is still swollen. How long is your stomach swollen after gallbladder removal?

After gallbladder surgery your abdomen will be swollen for at least 2 weeks and up to 6 weeks. Every day it should be a little bit better. =20
Make sure this is not an incisional hernia. Start with an abdominal US for evaluation.
It is not uncommon to feel distended and bloated for even 1-2 weeks after surgery. Make sure you are having daily bowel movements. Walk around as much as possible as well.
