My 2 year old son has a cold. How long should a cold last in a 2 year old?

A cold can usually last up to 10-14 days. Most colds are viral. If symptoms start changing, the child needs to be evaluated to make sure it is not is not bacterial to see if the child needs antibiotics. Viruses usually go away on its own and doesn't need antibiotics.
