Dental implant placement should feel better over a week. If it still hurts, please return to have your dentist check your implant.
I'm assuming you are referring to getting the implant placed, not restored. Implant placement has very similar or less post-treatment recovery as an extraction. The restoration phase is typically not painful at all. It is normal to have a moderate "toothache" for a day or two after implant placement. Depending on what was done to access the area, the gums can be sore and tender considerably longer. If extensive work has to be done to the gums in order to place the implant, the soreness can last up to a week or so.
I’m sorry that you’re having discomfort with your implant. Typically, you don’t have any discomfort. Sometimes after placement it may be a little sore for a day or two, but the large majority have very little soreness at all.
Usually sensitive for 7-10 days
That may depend on how much surgery was necessary. If you are having an issue, you should contact your surgeon.
