If everything goes well, the only time you should experience any pain or soreness should be the first few days after placement of implant. If you are experiencing pain more than a week you should definitely consult your dentist
Hi,
If you mean just post surgery? Everyone has a different pain threshold, but generally, if no bone grafting or other procedure was done simultaneously, most people are fine within a few days or a week. There are no nerve endings in bone, so pain is usually minimal. However, if bone grafting, sinus lift, etc,. was done, inflammation and pain will be present for a couple of weeks. Please understand every situation is different and your dentist can give you a better synopsis on your care.
Thanks.

Pain is oftentimes your body’s way of signaling pathology. Sometimes inflammation around the dental implant can occur and will usually be resolved with the appropriate treatment by a dentist who is familiar with treating implants.
