Time varies on how long a tooth should be sensitive after a deep filling. Generally, they can be sensitive for up to a month. The important thing to look for is to see if your symptoms are getting worse. You should have your tooth looked at if you are having lingering pain after hot or cold stimulation, spontaneous pain or ache.
Should not hurt at all! On some occasions there may be sensitivity for a day or two after dental treatment but if this persists something is eating. See your dentist with your concerns.
