“How long will my partials last?”
I got partial dentures. How long will my partials last?

10 years is considered successful. They usually need to be relined after 3-5 yrs. because the underlying gum tissue slowly recedes, compromising the fit.
It all depends on the health of the surrounding gums and teeth. Since partials sit on those structures, they need healthy supports. I've seen partials in function for 20 years, and others fail due to the surrounding teeth giving out in a few years. Make sure you are getting regular checkups to ensure everything is healthy, and if there are any problems get them addressed soon before they become big issues!
Excellent question. If you keep your partials clean, and our careful with them and If they are metal, they should last a good long time like 15 years. Of course if you lose more teeth, you may need to adjust them or get a new set. If they are wholly acrylic they may not last as long. Acrylic can chip or crack.
