Normally, I tell my patients 3 days because it takes 3 days for the swelling to go down, but again, it varies from patient to patient.
Typically 3-5 days. Best to follow your doctor's advice based on your specific surgery.
In most cases, for impacted wisdom teeth, the day of surgery and 2 more days should be sufficient. Check with your surgeon for recommendations in your specific circumstances.
