When you get a filling they said every 5-10 years it needs to be refilled is there a limit.

Hello, Its not specific numbers. some fillings stays longer and some are not. thats always clinical judgement for that. so you need to get Radiographs every 6 months to get up to date on the records. Hope this helps If you still have questions please call us on 267-262-6201
Fillings can be re-filled based on your dentist's discretion. Sometimes if the tooth needs a new filling, it can be refilled, other times it may need something different like a crown. This varies on a number of different factors. The timing is also very flexible as sometimes fillings get new decay underneath them due to lack of oral hygiene at home and sometimes that means they need to be replaced sooner than 5 years. On the other hand they can also last much longer with great oral hygiene as well.
