Endocrinology-DiabetesEndocrinology-DiabetesI wish you well and thank you for asking for my assistance.
Be well,
Brent Reinheimer, MD
Lantus and Lispro insulins are not interchangeable. Lantus is long acting over a period of 16 to 24 hours depending on dosage, and Lispro is short acting and usually used 30 minutes before meals. You should speak to your physician as he will be best able to help you as he knows your condition and other meds.
