How much radiation do you get from dental x-rays?

I need to get dental x-rays next month but don't like the radiation exposure. How much radiation do you get from dental x-rays?

.00005 REM radiation exposure from an X-ray. If you lay outside in the summer for 5 hours you get 1.0 REM. Live in a brick house 10 REM per year.
So very very little
For a full set of intra oral series you will absorb less radiation than a flight from Fairbanks Alaska to Seattle Washington.
Presumably, your dentist is using digitized radiographs (X-rays) in order to minimize the exposure to radiation! digitized radiographs are up to 70% less exposure than more traditional X-rays. If you have concerns, discuss with your dentist, but also to minimize radiation exposure you may want to avoid staying out in the sun. There is more radiation by hanging outside than there is in a dental radiograph experience...
A very small amount. They are very safe. For more details, you can go to the American dental association website.

Very little. The invention of the digital x-ray decreased the radiation even from what you used to get. To put it in perspective, you get more radiation eating a banana than you do from your yearly dental radiographs.
Less than spending a day on the beach.
