Depending on the type of job that you do you might need to take anywhere from one week to three weeks after rhinoplasty. If you’re working both physical labor it’ll be longer. If it is clerical it’ll be shorter.
This question should be addressed to your surgeon. The duration of recovery and return to work depends on the type of rhinoplasty you're having, the type of work you do, and other elements.
A typical recovery time from a rhinoplasty is 10-14 days. Generally, the first 7 days you have an external nasal cast and if you had any septal work and internal cast. These are removed at the one week point. If you had an open rhinoplasty procedure then you will get your sutures removed at this visit as well. The nose is swollen and continues to be for the next few days. However, it will quickly look like a normal nose and by day 14 most bruising is gone and you can resume normal activities.
At least 7-8 days when the splint is removed. It also depends on type of work you do. Your plastic surgeon should cover this during your pre op consultation
At least a week to ten days. This also depends on the work you return to. It has to be the relatively quiet and easy. If it strenuous, consider two weeks. You do not want to have blood pressure elevations that can cause bleeding or swelling that can interfere with the result. You do not want to do anything thing that can interfere with the result, otherwise, why are you having the operation?
A lot depends on the type of job you have and how extensive the surgery is to be (septal surgery, packs etc.). Most patients with a desk job can get back to relative normal within about a week but up to three weeks may be required.
