The experience of pain after liver transplant varies with individual patients. Some people have high pain thresholds and others do not. But pain after liver transplant is often much less than people expect and this is attributed to the steroids patients receive following liver transplant. The earlier people get moving and are up and about after transplant the less pain they tend to experience.
