I am a 55 year old male. I want to know how serious is a heart aneurysm?

Depending on where the aneurysm is and how large it is typically aortic aneurysm >5.5 cm will require repair.
It is serious. Blood clots develop inside the aneurysm. The clots can travel to the brain and other parts of the body with life threatening consequences. The aneurysm can also rupture with high fatality.
Very Serious. Needs open heart surgery
