I am weaning off tramadol?

I am a 69 year old female retired trauma nurse of 32 yrs. I fell in my home and suffered a tri-malleolar fix and fibulae fix to my LLE. I have been on tramadol 50mgs q 6 hrs. I cut down to q 12hrs for 7 days. Then to 1 q day for 4 days, then stopped 3 days ago. Since, I am experiencing severe nausea. Zofran doesn’t work for me. I am so nauseous that don’t feel I can even swallow my own saliva. Suggestion on taper?

Go see your regular doctor. I think this could be withdrawal symptoms. May need supervised de-addiction treatment.
You’ve already discontinued your pain medication and that’s fine. The real issue here is to make sure that your symptoms aren’t related to an undiagnosed GI condition.
