“I have a foul smelling cough?”
It started last year when I nearly aspirated myself, then I started coughing with a foul smell of phlegm and had a fever. I've finished augmentin treatment and felt better afterward, then until now even I'm having a simple cough the smell is a little bit foul still, but I don't have any other symptoms. I just finished another course of augmentin, however, the cough smell is still foul.

Has anyone ever done a barium swallow on you? Because you are starting to describe what is called a Zenker’s diverticulum. Especially if you have a chronic foul smelling breath or taste with aspiration. I would ask one of your providers, whoever is prescribing the Augmentin most likely, to bring up Zenker’s diverticulum and barium swallow evaluation
