I have an irregular mole and need to know if I need to get it examined?

I'm a 38 year old male. I have been on TRT for 6-8 months (Test cyp @ 27 units/day and desiccated thyroid @ 120 mg/day). I also take Lexapro (10 mg/day). I got several new moles since starting TRT but one is concerning. It is growing and original was a regular shape, raised, and one color. It is now irregular, raised, and has different colors. I would like to know if it appears to be cancerous and I need to get it examined.

Given that the mole is growing, changing shape, and developing multiple colors, it is important to have it evaluated by a dermatologist as these are concerning signs of potential skin cancer, such as melanoma.

We recommend scheduling a consultation with Dr. Shafa at IrvineSkin in Irvine, Orange County, to have the mole thoroughly examined. Dr. Shafa can assess the mole, perform any necessary tests, and guide you on the next steps for treatment or monitoring. Early detection is key to effective management.
Visit your local Dermatologist to have the pigmented lesion (mole) biopsied (removed) and evaluated under the microscope by a Dermatopathologist. The Dermatopathologist will determine if the pigmented lesion is Benign (not cancerous), Pre-cancerous, or Cancer. Your Dermatologist will then discuss with you if any further treatment is necessary.
A dermatologist could do a noninvasive procedure called a dermoscope to assess whether the lesion is benign or not. It seems to be very accurate depending on the expertise of your dermatologist.
