I have burning neck and shoulder pain?

I turned my body and my neck and back cracked. My arm is cold and feels a little numb and my neck and shoulder have a burning-like sensation. Should I go to the ER?

It is not a bad idea to go to urgent care or the emergency room to rule out a serious condition. If there is no underlying condition found, please see a chiropractor. This could be a postural or spinal issue that can be remedied.
I have a few questions before answering the question. You can call my cell phone at 203-253-4744
If you have weakness in your arm and hand as well then yes go to the ER. If not, apply ice to your neck to help with inflammation and pain. It most likely is an irritated nerve where it exits the neck, us doctors call this radiculopathy.
If your arm is continuing to be “cold and numb”, then I would seek immediate medical attention to determine what is causing this. Along with your burning neck and shoulder pain. First, rule out an emergent Medical condition that may require Emergency Medicine. If you find out that your condition is not a medical problem that requires Emergency Medicine, then you could follow up with your Primary Care Physician or a Chiropractor or Physical Therapist.
I would go to the ER first and have neck x-rays taken, have them check you for Raynaud syndrome or for the complex regional syndrome.
