Neurologist Questions Doctor

I have tingling/pins and needles in left thigh?

A few days ago I noticed an odd indentation in my upper right thigh. I have never had anything like this happen to me. At the time I wasn’t feeling any “off” sensations but now I feel a slight spasming/needling sensation off and on around the site of the dent. I have been working a part-time job that has me leaning against a short counter and I’m wondering if that could be the cause of this. I’ve ceased leaning but the indentation seems to be worse.

Sounds like a herniated disc hitting the L3 or L4 nerve. Try Advil over the counter and be patient. Most symptoms resolve around 6-8 weeks. If pain is intolerable, see your doctor for some different meds and perhaps an epidural. And of course. Physical therapy will help get you out of pain, tolerate the physical requirements at your job, and prevent future injuries. If you have any weakness or loss of bowel or bladder then you need an urgent eval.
