Hematologist (Blood Specialist) Questions Hematologist

I'm concerned about my recent CBC?

I had a recent CBC and my RBC count, as well as my hematocrit and hemoglobin, are less than they have always been (still in the normal range). In addition, my monocytes are at the high end at .79 absolute and keep increasing without any symptoms. The reason I am even aware is that I had my annual dr visit (televisit) and dr wanted a routine CBC back in August and it was great. In late October, I had blood in my urine and went to my Dr who repeated the CBC and did a urine test. It showed leukocytes esterase 2+ without any bacteria. That CBC showed an increase of monocytes from .59 to .68.

A week later, another CBC was done by my thyroid dr (just an annual check of T4 level) the CBC revealed the monocytes absolute had increased yet again to .79 along with the nuetrophils ( they really increased from before) and my hematocrit and hemoglobin and total RBC were decreased and that has just made me nervous. I have had no colds, etc. The WBC went from 4.9 to 6.9 in one week! I'm just concerned something like chronic leukemia is going on. I feel bad even suggesting that. My concern is decreasing RBCs and increasing WBCs mainly the monocytes.

My local health system has a portal and you can see previous years CBCs the hematocrit and hemoglobin for at least 10 years have been the same number until this last CBC and the WBCs as well. I guess I just am looking to see if some process is going on? The monocyte percent was flagged high at 14% and the absolute is at the high end of range.

The WBC count is normal. I would make an appointment with a hematologist to have a peripheral blood smear done.
